Abstract

This research examines Britain and Israel’s colonial occupation of Palestine, analyzing how violent occupation has led to almost eighty years of continuous traumas rooted in dispossessions, civilian massacres, destruction of civilian properties, restrictions on mobility, lack of humanitarian aid, and more. It also analyzes creative fiction pieces to examine how Palestinian authors conceive their future amidst the ongoing genocide. Finally, this research bridges the gap between scholarly research and creative fiction to demonstrate that the possibilities for a future are rooted in current politics and past history; action must be taken in the Gaza Strip and West Bank to preserve the possibility of an autonomous Palestinian future.
