Abstract
This short story is derived from the Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda poem “A él.” It incorporates phrases from the poem and develops them into a concrete plot. It explores the literary and personal interpretations of a poem in the form of prose and imitates the style and narrative emphasis of the original work.
